What better day than a Birthday to remind a person how special they are!
That’s exactly what I did on Saturday, October 8th 2021 in Caye Caulker at Ice & Bean for a person who holds an important place in my life: my cousin (who is more like a sister to me).
Even though Mother Nature blessed us with showers that day, a little rain over my outdoor setting didn’t keep us from celebrating. In fact, it makes sense doesn’t it?! We’ve got to endure the rain to enjoy a rainbow, and that’s exactly what this event was… a bright and cheerful rainbow of post-its incorporated into a birthday breakfast on the beach.
Let’s talk about the birthday girl! My cousin is a super organized, list-making, post-it loving gal, and I know you wouldn’t think so about someone so organized, but she has a very fun and bubbly personality, so I knew I wanted the birthday setting to be cheerful, fun and loaded with color.
What I had to come up with were ideas on how to incorporate an office accessory into a breakfast party. 😕 As I got my creative juices flowing, I went from listing the usual party must-haves like cake and balloons, to adding Post-it name cards and even a Post-it donut stand.
It was a simple setting, but with a lot of personal little details included, from the Post-it banner wishing her a happy birthday, to the cake with personalized messages from her loved ones written on Post-it notes!
I loved how it turned out, and most importantly, she did too! Are you guys loving all the little post-it details in this event?
